waterfire

Going to be in Providence the weekend of Jun 23 and wondered about suggestions of a hotel within a few blocks of the Waterfire event AND suggestions mid price dining that Saturday night in the area. I%26#39;m sure restaurants will be packed and want to plan ahead and make reservations.

We will have a car but don%26#39;t want to drive that evening.

Hotels within walking distance include the Biltmore, Marriott, Hotel Providence, Renassiance Providence Hotel, or Dolce Villa (farther away than the others, maybe a mile from Waterfire). Keep in mind all will be very expensive for a Waterfire night and sell out very quickly. You could always get a hotel in Pawtucket or Seekonk and commute.

As for restaurants mid priced (avg. entree %26lt; $20) try Bravo, 3 Steeple, Parkside, Local 121, or Cuban Revolution, Red Fez (both a step down in price and quality) or Mills Tavern, Cafe Nuovo, Gracies (all a step up in price and quality, especially Gracies).

Enjoy Watefire, it is really a wonderfully unique event!

There%26#39;s also the Hilton and the Westin which are both in walking distance as well.

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Do you know of any restaurants in the area of Waterfire that are kid friendly? We%26#39;ll have our 12 month old twins in tow. :)

My guess is that Union Station or Ri RA would be the best bets if you have a child in tow. Both are chain%26#39;s, though.

There%26#39;s also the Providence Place Mall nearby that has a couple of chain restaurants in it. It has the Cheesecake Factory, Napa Valley Grill and Fire %26amp; Ice.

Thanks for the info everyone!
