I have been going to Newport for years and I have never made it to Jamestown. I am thiking of going tomorrow on the ferry. Is it walkable? Is there a good spot to get lunch within walking distance of the ferry dock?
Walking Jamestown?
pretty much most of the ';downtown'; is right across fromt he ferry dock. There is the East Ferry Deli for sandwiches and such...there is Tricia%26#39;s TropiGrille and Simpatico for more sit down lunches (Simpatico being nicer) Only the downtown is walkable...to head out to Beaver Tail or Ft. Weatherill would be quite a hike...(maybe not so much Ft. Weatherill but Beavertail is too far.
Tomorrow is the Fool%26#39;s Rules Regatta (Homemade Boats made on the Beach, and then a race down the beach.) It will be crowded but is always a fun time....
