B&B with a pool??

MH and I are interested in a getaway to Newport this July.

Are there any B%26amp;B%26#39;s with pools?

Are the beaches nice?

I know you might think this is off the wall, but here%26#39;s an alternate suggestion. Try staying in Westerly, RI -- we have wonderful beaches and for a B%26amp;B you might try The Villa. Only a couple of miles from the beach, has some lovely rooms, a pool, and a spa and pretty gardens. Right next door to a public golf course, too. You can drive to Newport (I do it every day) -- about 40 minutes.

To look at B%26amp;Bs in the Newport area though, try this web site: bbonline.com

The Sanford Covell Villa is wonderful and has a pool I just don%26#39;t know the status of it at the moment. 401.847.0206

It is on Washington Street and overlooks the Newport Bridge and the harbor and is an easy walk to downtown.

Second beach is my choice on the island.

I would stay in Newport because there is a lot more to do but if you want to take a day trip to even nicer beaches then you%26#39;ll find in Newport (although Second beach or Sachuest is nice by most standards (which is technically in Middletown), you can venture over the Newport and Jamestown bridges you%26#39;ll find nicer beaches as you head towards Westerly-- first in Narragansett; then in Charestown before you hit Westerly.
