Getting here from Boston on Saturday? Advice needed

Hello everyone,

My husband and I will be visiting Newport for the first time for our anniversary on Sept.3. We%26#39;ll be driving from Boston (Copley Square). Could anyone give me some advices on the driving route,please? We%26#39;d like to make a quick stop in Providenece for sight-seeing.

Take I-95 South, it%26#39;ll get you to Providence and on the way to Newport.

If you%26#39;re looking to stop in Providence you%26#39;ll want to follow 95 South into the city....then from there you%26#39;ll take 95 South again until Route 4 Exit (Left hand exit off 95) Follow Route 4 until it ends and turns into Route 1. Take the 138 East exit towards Jamestown and Newport. You%26#39;ll cross 2 bridges and end in Newport.

If you decide to skip Providence, take Route 24 South off of I-93 from Boston.....straight shot that will end in Newport (24South will turn into Rt 114)
