You%26#39;ll want to post on the Newport forum about your hotel. I%26#39;ve never heard of it. And the best beaches depend on the ages of the kids, are they used to waves, do you want a restaurant nearby or do you want to pack a cooler %26amp; would the kids like a playground on the beach?
Adventureland is in Narragansett and it%26#39;s about 20 -30 minutes drive from Newport. Their website is adventurelandRI.com and there is a roller rink behind which is great for rainy days.
There are a couple of movie theatres in Newport, one in Narragansett and another in South Kingstown that might keep the kids happy too.
The ferry to Martha%26#39;s Vineyard is over here on the other side of the bridges in North Kingstown and the website is vineyardfastferry.com.
BlockIslandFerry.com will give you all the info you need for all the ferries from both Narragansett %26amp; Newport.
Have a great trip!

I just got back from the Ocean 1 and 11 and I wasnt impressed. First off with the service, (they gave us the wrong room) then it wasnt available for all the days as promised so we had to leave RI. But first and foremost, the pull out couch bed ...the sheets were filthy......and the room was mustly smelling.....so for $250 a nite.....it was just okay. location was good and the room setup was nice but it was rundown , the place where they have weddings looks great right next door but the condos I stayed in weren worth it.... all in all it was a good trip there........thanks for the info!
Yikes....$250 a night....I thought you were getting a deal because your original budget was for $70 - $80 a night in Narragansett. Had we know that your budget had increased, we might have been able to offer different suggestions than the time share they gave you.
Sorry you had problems, but glad that in the end you had a good time.
