I haven%26#39;t seen much info on these two establishments on the forum. Has anyone stayed here and is the Blues Cafe a good place to eat? Thanks

Newport Blues Inn and Newport Blues Cafe
A friend of mine rented the Blues Inn for her wedding and said it was great, and the owners very friendly and helpful. Great location too.
As mentioned, the Blues Cafe is also a good place to eat.....as well as many other restaurants in Newport too.
great place to eat and catch a show but I didn%26#39;t know that they offered lodging. It is a great downtown location, right in the heart of everything.
The Blues Inn is up the street on Pelham....completely separate building.
The Inn is nice. The restaurant is good, but keep in mind that there is a loud live performance that they will be prepping for.

from a fellow texan.
go, go, go!
this inn is the cleanest i have ever stayed in. lisa and gary are super helpful.
room at back on first floor was wonderful. large, nice bathroom, big closet, pretty and so clean. everything about this place screams ';i really do care';.
dining room is cute and food is good.
location is fine. nice short walk by the pretty renovated homes to town. safe to walk all over in late nighttime.
wine room is a plus.
good bargain.
The Newport Blues Inn is the perfect mix of comfort and elegance.
Our annual ';girl%26#39;s trip'; is to the Newport Jazz Festival and this year the trip was made perfect by our stay at the Newport Blues Inn. The Innkeepers, Janet and Phil are engaging and intelligent. The Inn is spotless. The breakfast is amazingly diverse and delicious. And, the location is in a comfortable walking distance from all the activities on Thames Street and the harbor yet far enough to feel residential. A parking pass is provided, eliminating yet another possible source of stress.
The evening offering of wine and cheese was inspired. No typical Chardonnay or Cabernet here.... Phil chooses excellent wine pairings while Janet provides the most decadent brownies and cheeses.
I cannot say enough about this Inn or its Innkeepers.....could rave on and on. No cloying Victorian here. The colors and furniture in the bedroom and bathroom are modern and relaxing. They have a really upscale';Pottery Barn'; feel to them. The bathroom is enourmous and elegant.
If you are planning a trip to Newport, do yourself a tremendous service and stay with Janet and Phil at the Newport Blues Inn.
