Staying in Newport, Going to a wedding in Bristol

My wife and I are attending a wedding in Bristol and staying in Newport. We are staying at the Bellevue Manor (not our pick, and I%26#39;m scared from some of the reviews). Anyways, we need a cool post rehearsal dinner Friday night spot to grab drinks and a place for breakfast/lunch/brunch on Saturday day of the wedding. We also hope to get the Cliffwalk in or at least see The Breakers on Saturday. Sunday its back to Boston.

In Newport for going out there are MANY options, however cool and throngs of tourists don%26#39;t always go together. The sailing scene is cool and attracts an older crowd- West Deck Grill, The Hotel Viking has an outdoor patio and brunch which I%26#39;ve heard good things about. Castle Hill(hotel) with their views would be awesome for brunch, if they have it. Then there%26#39;s places like the Red Parrot, Mudville Pub, the Garden and the Pelham.

Bellevue Manor has a great location, can%26#39;t comment on the rooms, but it%26#39;s right across the street from the Viking Hotel and just a short walk down the hill to town.

For drinks after the rehearsal, you could try the Fifth Element, Sambar, the West Deck is ok, but in the summer can turn into quiet a drunken crowd (cans of beer, wine in plastic etc) Cooke House, Mooring, Smoke House

You could also try a couple places on Broadway 180, Pour Judgement, Salvation Cafe (They have a funky tiki hut out back) Fastnet

Tons of choices for your Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch (although brunch is more of a Sunday thing) I%26#39;d suggest you flip through a guide book when you arrive and play it by ear.

You should have no problem doing at least a little bit of the Cliff Walk during your stay....

Brunch at the Black Pearl for the best eggs benedict I have ever had. Served every day.

Locals ';greasy spoons';: Franklin Spa, Gary%26#39;s handy and the Corner Cafe to eat with the locals on the cheap. Castle Hill does a great Sunday bruch, but VERY expensive. VERY good, AMAZING views, but VERY expensive.

The Black Pearl patio bar is great for the Friday night as would be the Clarke Cooke House.

The Breakers and the CliffWalk are ';must-do%26#39;s'; and you can just walk to the CliffWalk after touring the Breakers mansion. Make sure you take a right onto the CliffWalk and go as far as the Chinese Tea House.

Breakers tour is 75 minutes and spend as much time as possible on the CliffWalk. Don%26#39;t forget your camera!

Keep in mind that traffic could make the trip to Bristol 30 minutes or even a bit more.
