*I* wouldn%26#39;t waste two minutes in a casino, myself. I say the mansions in New port...the beaches (maybe no big deal to a Floridian like you but we Texas Tarts like nice beaches)...there%26#39;s sooo much historical stuff to see and do.

I%26#39;m not a casino person myself, and Norwich is an old mill town, but it does have, I hear, a rose garden that%26#39;s supposed to be good, and the area near the water has a few good restaurants.

Mystic, Ct has the Seaport (history), Olde Mystik Village (shopping and dining), its downtown area (again for shopping and dining),and the Aquarium. Allow about a 15-20 minute drive.

Westerly, RI has great beaches, a pretty downtown area with a gorgeous park, Watch Hill (to see how the other half lives-- you can shop and eat there too), and a lively arts feel (Chorus of Westerly, Granite Theater, and a number of galleries). About a 40 minute ride from Norwich.

Newport, RI has the mansions, the ocean, shopping and dining in the waterfront area, Tennis Hall of Fame, and more.

Its a must to visit Newport. When are you visiting? The tall ships are arriving June 27th thru July 1st. Take a ride along Ocean Drive in Newport and visit some of the mansions. There are many great restaurants and some nice beaches in Newport.

I would say visit Mohegan Sun if you do like gambling. Also, if you have time, take a ferry to Block Island!!!! That is a great day trip. I think you can take a ferry. Try this website for ferry times and locations. You can take it right out of CT. http://www.blockislandferry.com/

visit Aquidneck Lobster Company and check out the lobsters

Take a harbor tour which is a great way to see Newport from another angle

Tour the International Tennis Hall of Fame

If you have time visit Marble House, The Elms, Belcourt Castle, Rough Point, Rosecliff, etc......... many mansions to tour.

Visit St Marys where sonn-to-be president Kennedy was married

Tour the oldest synagogue in the country
