I just got married and my husband and I are planning a bed %26amp; breakfast for our honeymoon. We%26#39;re not sure if we should look in cape cod, martha%26#39;s vineyard, somewhere in Maine or somewhere in NewPort, Rhode Island. I%26#39;m pretty clueless as to which area to go. We%26#39;re looking for a luxurious B%26amp;B with privacy, gourmet breakfast and jacuzzi. We%26#39;re willing to spend the money since it%26#39;s our honeymoon. Can you suggest a very nice B%26amp;B with triple A service? We%26#39;re planning on spending about 3 nights. We just want somewhere nice where we can take a walk to the water, go on boat rides, do some biking and perhaps horse-back riding. We%26#39;ll be traveling from NY and we can either drive or fly...doesn%26#39;t matter. Any good recommendations?
Honeymoon in NewPort, need Bed %26amp; Breakfast Recommendations
I%26#39;m not a B%26amp;B type of person, but I think Newport fits your criteria perfectly. I%26#39;m sure somebody will give some advice for a B%26amp;B but in the meantime check out:

(They are a free service and know alot about the B%26amp;B%26#39;s, Inns, etc in town and can help you. We used them for out of town guest for our wedding accomodations)

I know that they have a nice jacuzzi room.
Also, what time of year are you thinking? That can make a difference as well as weekend vs mid-week.

Thank you. I am planning fo this August. I know it%26#39;s quite last minute planning.
Also, next to your post, click on the Blue ';Newport'; forum, all messages specific to Newport will show up. I remember a question similar to this recently (April or so?)
I think there were raves for the Hydranga house as well as other B%26amp;B threads.

I know they have a lot of Jacuzzis in their rooms, and are in a great location to everything, right on Bellvue. (Short walk down the hill to downtown)
Definitely Inn at Castlehill. You will have a memorable honeymoon experience. Choose a Beach house. They have Jacuzzi tubs, kitchenette, King bed with lovely linens, a sitting area and a deck that steps right onto the sand. Beach House 37 and 34 are my favorite but they are all nice. If you can%26#39;t get a beach house try a beach cottage. They are also on a private beach and quite romantic. They are all different so if you get a beach cottage ask about what they offer. Castehill is away from the crowds and very romantic. The restaurant is very good as well and is the ';grill.'; I think it would a great choice for a honeymoon in New England. Have a great time.
Stay at The Hilltop Inn in Newport, RI
You should check out the... Historic Edgewood Manor.... which is about 25 minutes from Newport and 3 miles from downtown Providence. And 4 miles from the Providence airport. Great location. Walking distance to Roger Williams Park and Zoo. It is a majestic inn...... rich in history ,elegant, and luxurious with several rooms that have two person jacuzzi tubs. The breakfast is delicious and I think they are a three diamond rated property by AAA.
I agree 100% with fellow New Yorker 2firenze. Castlehill is THE spot and a beach house there is what you want. Congratulations!
Castle Hill Inn is very nice and the beach houses are the best, but it is best to remember that you are not in downtown and everytime you want to go downtown you will have to drive and pay for parking. If you want seclusion and time alone it is great, but if you want to enjoy downtown I would opt for something closer. The charm of Newport is the shopping, dining and tours available in downtown. Walk the Cliff Walk, the beaches, and go hiking at the Norman Bird Sanctuary for some alone time to talk and enjoy the scenery. Have a picnic at King Park or Brenton State Park also.
Francis Malbone House or Hilltop would be my first choice.

Reed Rose Cottgae. not as nice but has a pool. http://www.reedrosecottage.com/
Manhattan to Newport is 3 - 3 1/2 hours. Easy drive.

Try the Canfield House. It is a beautiful place with a lovely restaurant and, I believe, 4 Victorian style rooms which are also lovely and fully equipped. It is an easy walk to the center...food was great in the restaurant, and the people we dealt with on staff were lovely. The place has the most amazing woodwork...was once the only casino in Newport, I understand. Enjoy wherever you stay, and best wishes on your marriage!
