RI beaches

We were at Narragansett town beach last week and although we loved the water it was absolutely packed with people. Blanket to blanket. Not our cup of tea. Any suggestions for good waves with less crowds?

How about Misquamicut Beach in Westerly? It%26#39;s a very large beach, so crowding would be less of an issue.

I haven%26#39;t been there since we were kids! I always remembered it as being crowded as well. We%26#39;ll give it another try - we%26#39;re actually headed up next week. Thanks for the response.

JMO but I would avoid Misquamicut Beach, Its the most crowded in the state with traffic backed up into Connecticutt on weekends. I would recommend East Beach in Charleston or if you like even more solitude park in Watch Hill(early) and walk out towards Ninigret Point..

Regarding Watch Hill, just be aware that parking is a big issue.

Make that Napatree point not Ninigret point, and you do have to get there early.
