The Mohegan Cafe is one of my personal favorites and I would recommend it to anyone. It has great food and the waitstaff is very freindly. Also, it has a very ';local'; feel to it.

I would also recommend the 1661 Inn. Their breakfast buffet is extraordinary.

I would warn against going to Ballards. It can be fun for the young crowd, but the food is very average and the waitstaff leaves something to be desired.

I like the Beachhead for the view and deck. The food was good as well.

Absolutely - The Beachhead - I can%26#39;t believe I forgot about this place. An excellent restaurant with great views and reasonable pricing. A very short walk from downtown.

I%26#39;ve been many times and tried most places at least once. Eli%26#39;s, Spring House and Manisses are the only places I been to twice. Try drinks and apps at Spring House and Atlantic Inn at sunset. You can get a taste of the menu without spending a fortune. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and we were surpised that Eli%26#39;s has a great veggie menu, but you need to ask for it.

I had dinner at Dead Eye Dicks and the food was fantastic. I went with my girlfriend and another couple, and we each ordered something different and sampled each others meals . Everything was great. I hear Eli%26#39;s is good, but didn%26#39;t eat there. Lunch and cocktails were very nice at the Oar ,which has a beautiful view of the harbor. In fact, I think the photo of the harbor on the blockisland.com webpage is from the Oar.

I also had a great meal at the Mohegan Cafe for dinner. I ordered the chicken pad thai. It was one of the best things I%26#39;d ever eaten.
